Big Bear Part 8...
Day number two and we are back on the lake. Today is so much better than the day before...no wind. The lake is calm...today is going to be our day:
Jack didn't want to be cold like the day before so this time he brought a blanket:
But it wasn't even cold...the lake doesn't get any better than this:
Stacy is hoping to catch her first fish!
Same with Toshi:
Hahaha...same as Bryan (at least in Big Bear):
Dawn was the mini golf champion so she is trying to represent for the Eberly's:

Big Bear Part 6...
I was so busy with the camera capturing all the "hole in one's" that it threw me off my game and I didn't get a hole in one! Grandpa was the first:
Followed by Bryan who tried harder than last year:
Aya and her beginner's luck...again:

Big Bear Part 4...
Boo. Fish 1 Yoshioka and Eberly Clan zero. We tried a few places and no luck. Just like last year, the fish just were not biting.
Grandpa showing Jack how to cast and reel his line in:
When I have resort to just taking 'selfies' on the boat you know the fishing is bad:
Like the bummer sticker says, "A bad day fishing is still a better day than being at work!"

Big Bear Part 3...
The water in Big Bear Lake is pretty low but it was a great weekend to be on the lake. Despite how 'sunny' it looks in the pictures, it was rather chilly on the lake at 7 in the morning especially then the wind blew. The family getting ready to do some serious fishing:
Shoot, this picture is great just like me!
The weather was good, it was nearly impossible to take a bad picture:
Gun-cle (as Toshi calls me) knew Toshi would need some sun glasses to look cool on the boat:
The early bird gets the worm...or hopefully the fish eat our worms!!
This sure beats working!

Big Bear Part 2...
Stacy teaching Toshi how to throw rocks outside:
Hanging out...getting some 'fresh' air:
You can the kids out of the city but you can't take the electronics from the kids:
Family game night. Jack loves to play the game of clue. Let the record show, Dad might have sucked last year but Dad probably set the record for the fastest Clue win:
It's amazing, Dad has brains AND good looks....what more could you ask for...but wait these is more!! (to be continued):

It is so nice to get away from the city for a few days:

Shooting Clinic...
With all the time spent moving, tournaments, practices, I haven't been able to spend as much time with Jack working on shooting. Luckily LMU had a basketball clinic to help kids shoot the ball.
It was one of the better basketball clinics we have attended. Hopefully this translates to some baskets for Jack:

Venice Monarchs...
Monarchs?? What the heck is a monarch, right?! Well, it is a butterfly and that is the name of Stacy's basketball team:
Stacy's first basketball practice. I could have sworn girls listen more and were more coachable but this group of rowdy girls have a difficult time listening.
Nothing like running 1/3 of practice to tame this wild girls!!

Pasadena Bruins Game 3...
The 3rd place game and wouldn't you know it...another Norwalk team...again. This time we played the Norwalk Lightening.
They had a great point guard that dominated the game. Even when we went box in one on him the times we couldn't 'find' him on the court he scored. This game was close but in the end their best player out played our best player and we lost by a handful of points. Disappointing finish to the tournament for us.

Pasadena Bruins Game 2...
It isn't too often now that we play a team we have never seen before but Game 2 was against the Sabre Warriors. We had never seen them before. The Sabres were physical but fairly new to basketball so they turned the ball over often.
Jack played well and the Pirates won this game easily by double figures.

Pasadena Bruins Game 1...
Back in the valley for a basketball tournament and it was HOT and it was early. We had a 9:00 game against the Norwalk Sonics.
Last time we played them they ran us out the gym and beat us by 30 points. We played much better this time around. We lost by 10 points but we played with good effort.
