I find the blog useful in dating and/or remembering events in the kids life. I guess it is a quicker look up then looking at photo date stamps on my PC or when creating scrap books.
I was thinking the blog is all about the kids, but what if you don’t have kids? Then his blog would be pretty boring. Shoot, it could be boring for people that have kids as well. In any case, I decided I will try to create some entries every month about just Aya and I.
Fact, I mumble when I speak.
Fact, I listen to the TV loud and the radio in my car loud. Sure, maybe I have a hearing disorder, but honestly I think I hear just fine.
What I say and what Aya hears are two DIFFERENT things completely. For example, if I come home and Aya forgot to take out the trash (which is her chore), I simply remind her, “Did you take out the trash?” What she hears and tells me is, “Hey moron, you forgot to take out the Mother F’n trash out!”
The problem wouldn’t be how Aya interprets what she hears…that is her prerogative. The problem happens when Aya says I heard you say, “Hey moron, you forgot to take out the Mother F’n trash!” That is NOT what I said AT ALL!!! I just said simply, “Did you take out the trash out?”
This happens ALL the time. Aya might ask, “How did you like dinner? I will reply, ‘It was alright”. Aya will then say, “Great. I suck at cooking, I suck at being a wife and a mother, I am a terrible person.” Umm, hello, all I said was, “It was alright” but Aya will say but this is what I heard, Great. I suck at cooking, I suck at being a wife and a mother, I am a terrible person.”
It is almost as bad as when Aya wakes up from a bad dream where I might have done something wrong in **HER** dream, yet I get blamed for it the next day.
The joys of marriage.
