Fogo de Chao…

EA had the department lunch at Fogo de Chao.   Meat and booze…perfect way to spend an afternoon lunch!

After 2 hours of eating and drinking it was time for more drinks:

No one had the courage to buy the Louis the XIII shot at $195 a glass…so most of us opted for the 30 year $115 cognac.

Funny thing was, I was suppose to interview a candidate at 4:00 and I told the HR lady that I probably wouldn’t be back from my lunch at 4:00 but she insisted I do the interview…yeah….that didn’t happen.  I didn’t get back until 5:30…oops….oh well!

Merry Christmas everyone!!

Take me to your leader…

I guess when you see Stacy everyday you don’t notice that she is getting bigger.  I realized that her head must be getting bigger because now the tupper ware is looking pretty small on her head.   Looks like I need to take it away and use it for food again.

In the meantime, Stacy is feeling pretty comfortable being a martian!

EA Company Party…

I think the last company party I went to was in 2005 for LowerMyBills.   Normally I don’t really like company parties but since it has been a while Aya and I decided to go to the EA Company Party at the Supperclub in Hollywood.

The place was a little strange.   They had acrobats and snow falling onto the dance floor:

Of course there was open bar:

There was magic tricks, photo booth, flip book and some balloon dude making reindeer antlers:

Emcee:

I dunno what the heck this guy is called but he was rolling around on the floor.  At one point I had drank too much and I didn’t notice him, so not only did I kick him I also stepped on him 2-3 times before I realized he was on the ground.  Weirdo.

Stairs…

We don’t really block the stairs from Stacy but we usually ‘box’ Stacy into the living room.  A few times she has got out and Stacy has attempted to crawl up the stairs but didn’t really get the hang of it.   Last week, I caught Stacy crawling up the stairs for the first time:

In just one week, Stacy has improved a lot in crawling up the stairs.  She can make up the big flight of stairs as well.   Stacy has no clue how to go down the stairs yet but just so you don’t worry, we have a gate at the top of our stairs.

Laker game…

Earlier in the year we took Jack to his first Dodger game.  Aya bought me Laker vs Clipper tickets for my birthday and I decided to take Jack with me for his first Laker game:

Aya got us great seats in the 7th row:

I dunno what Jack enjoyed more, seeing his favorite player Kobe Bryant:

laker_game_kobe1

Or eating a hotdog, nachos and cotton candy!

laker_game3

It was a great game!  The Lakers won with .1 second left as Derek Fisher made a layup at the buzzer.  Jack was a great Laker fan.  He stood the entire game.  He cheered, he heckled Clipper fans and he started down a Clipper fan.

There were 4 Clipper fans in front of us and when Blake Griffin went to shoot free throws Jack kept yelling MISS IT…MISS IT!!   Jack was jibber jabbing all game long and I think the guys in front of us where trying to change seats so no one would have to sit in front of Jack.

The Clippers took a 12 point lead and the guy in back of us was rooting for the Clippers and he was cheering and yelling.  Jack turned around and gave him a mean look.  The guy tapped me on the shoulder after and said, “I think your son wants to fight me for not rooting for the Lakers!”

When the Lakers won, he turned around to Clipper fan and Jack was yelling, “Woo!!  Go Lakers!   We won!!”

Jack had a great time at the game and it was even better for me because Jack was yelling and cheering all game long!

Gingerbread…

Aunty Dawn and Jack spent Thursday making a big old Gingerbread man:

I thought it was just for decoration but Jack said, “No, we can actually EAT it”:

I refused to take a bite, but Aya ate some and said, '”it was absolutely horrible” but Jack seemed to enjoy it…while sitting in Stacy’s chair:

Giddy up…

When Jack turned 4 we told him that we wouldn’t be carrying him anymore, but that still doesn’t mean he doesn’t asked to be carried or be given a horsey ride.  Aya made the mistake of letting Jack climb up on her shoulder:

I am ready:

Box…

Hmm, what is better Tupperware or a box?   I think the box wins out since BOTH kids can play in the box!   Stacy’s in a box!wk47_stacy_box

Stacy and Jack in the box!

Gift Ideas?

Like brother, like sister.  It seems the best ‘toy’ Stacy likes to play with now is Tupperware.   When Jack was sick a few weeks ago we gave him a ‘barf’ bucket in case he had to barf.  Luckily it never came to that, but since that time Stacy has been playing with the Tupperware.

She loves to grab it…put blocks in it…look thru it:

Just like her brother she likes to put it on top of her head!

Trouble…

I wonder how many presents will make it to Christmas without being torn open?   Stacy is so mischievous.   Stacy has to touch everything, push buttons on everything and always goes after the things we say, “No” too.

wk47_jack_stacy2

Stacy has already gone after Jack’s presents and is trying to open all the presents!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…

We got our Christmas tree this weekend and this was the first year where Jack wanted to help decorate the tree!

xmas_tree2

Jack was picking out the ornaments and telling us where he wanted them placed on tree.

Just 19 more day to Christmas.   Jack already wrote his letter to Santa and he is just counting down the days!

Family picture…

I doubt anyone that looks at this blog isn’t on my Christmas card list but if not…too bad.  Here is our Christmas card this year:

XMAS5

A few weeks later we took this picture which came out pretty nice as well:

This was Stacy’s first time seeing Santa Claus…she obviously didn’t like Santa too much.

Brother/Sister…Good/Evil…Happy/Sad…

These pictures pretty much sums it up on life with 2 kids.   One second the two of them are happy together:

A second later one of them is happy and the other is not.
